UCKA NATURE PARK

Ucka Nature Park, with its area of 160 km2, includes the mountain Ucka and a part of the Cicarija plateau. The highest peaks are Vojak (1396 m) on Ucka and Veli Planik (1272 m) on Cicarija.
Due to its location, relief, geological structure, geomorphology, climate, rich forest vegetation and protected and endemic flora and fauna species, Ucka Mountain is unique to this part of Istria and Kvarner. The relief and immediate vicinity of the sea have resulted in a peculiar climate favorable to the growth of rich forest vegetation spreading from the shore to the top of the mountain. In addition to its natural phenomena, the attractions of Ucka Mountain also include its indigenous cultural and architectural heritage and traditional agriculture. On the legendary mountain and in other parts of the Park you can find lots of peaceful places to relax and enjoy the magnificent beauty of the landscape. Apart from other ways and means, you may cover these open spaces by bike, hiking or running, and enjoy the fresh air and magnificent landscapes. The coolness of the forests, birds warbling in the sky and murmuring waters will fill you with joy and exhilaration for having reached your target by your own determination and physical effort. loCATION / start & FINISH

Location of the race start & finish is a small fishing and tourist place Moscenicka Draga, located on the sea, on the east coast of the Istrian peninsula, at the foot of the mountain Ucka.
The area of Moscenicka Draga, in addition to the rich culture, tradition and Mediterranean cuisine, beautiful beaches and cristal blue sea, offers many opportunities for a variety of outdoor activities. Whether you want a easy walk or take a day-long hike, ride a bycicle, climb the vertical rocky cliffs, kayak to explore the coastline, dive or sail, you will find a real challenge for you. There are no cups at aid stations. Each competitor should have their own water bottle / silicone cup in order to be able to consume the drink found at the aid station.

M/WS: 18 - 35 years (born 1988 - 2005)
M/W35: 36 - 49 years (born 1974 - 1987)
M/W50: 50 and + years (born 1973 and older)

First 3 men & women in the overall ranking will be awarded with sponsor's products.
Plaques for the first three places in all age categories. Finisher medals for all competitors who finish the race within the time limit.

REGISTRATION

Registration opens on January 2nd, 2023 and closes on August 24th, 2023 at 08.00h.
If we receive the maximum number of 300 registrations (all races together) before August 24th, 2023, we will close registrations. Regardless of the number of registered competitors, after August 24th, we are not able to receive more registrations.

REGISTRATION = PRE-REGISTRATION + ENTRY FEE PAYMENT

STEP 1 - Pre-registration / Online pre-registration form
By sending a pre-registration you show interest in participating in the race. Your data will be stored in the system, but your name will not be visible on the list of registered competitors. You will receive a pre-registration confirmation to your e-mail address together with data for the payment of entry fee .

STEP 2 – Entry fee payment
By paying the entry fee, no later than August 24th, 2023, your registration is complete. After the registered payment your name will be visible on the list of registered competitors and you will receive a notification about the successful registration to your e-mail.

ENTRY FEE

Entry fee includes the following: race bib and chip, electronic timing, race t-shirt, finisher's medal, lunch, aid stations, mountain rescue service & medical team, race organization.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Payment is possible in two ways, by bank transfer or by PayPal service. In both ways, competitor pays the additional costs of money transfer. After you make a pre-registration, you will receive a confirmation of pre-registration together with data for the payment of entry fee.

ENTRY FEE REFUND

If you are not able to participate in the race, and you made registration / paid the entry fee, contact us via e-mail: [email protected]. In accordance with the terms and date of cancellation, we will make refund to your account. See the table with dates and amounts below.

By canceling participation after August 24th, 2023, it is not possible to get a refund of the entry fee or use the entry fee for the other race in the series or next year. You can transfer the registration to another competitor, no later than September 3rd, 2023. If the transfer is not possible, your start package can be picked up by one of your friends (be sure to send notification and details of the person who will pick up the start package to e-mail: [email protected], no later than September 3rd, 2023).

If the race happens to be cancelled due to extreme weather that endanger the safety of participants and race organizers, you have the possibility to use the entry fee in full in the new race date which will be defined later. If you are not able to participate in the race on a new date, you can make a transfer to another competitor or request a refund of the entry fee in the amount of 70% of the amount paid. In both cases, please contact us by email: [email protected] (no later than 20 days before the race).
