SCORING SYSTEM

The scoring system of trail running series KVARNER TRAILS is designed in the simplest and most correct way for the organizers and all competitors. Points are awarded for overall ranking achieved in the race. Points are not awarded to the placement made in men or women category or to placement within a particular age group. For the final ranking all 4 races will be scored: Hahlici, Risnjak, Ucka & Malinska Trail.

RDP scoreboard

With points for position in the overall ranking at each race competitor also receive RDP - Race Difficulty Points. The formula for calculating them is very simple: Race lenght + Total ascent / 100 = RDP.

The sum of points for the overall ranking in the race and the RDP points creates a table of absolute ranking where men and women are together. This is an indicator of the performance of individual competitors, regardless of gender and age group. In the absolute ranking table, according to the number of points, are generated separate tables with the overall ranking (men and women separately), as well as age groups (men and women separately).

NOTE.
When positioning the competitor in the appropriate age group, the system uses the year rather than the date of birth as the basic parameter, so that the competitor in the current year will earn points in only one age group, not in two of them, which is important for the overall ranking in the series.

Overall ranking for men and women, as well as age groups and the absolute ranking will be visible after the first race, and will continue to be generated after each of 4 races.

At the last race in the series, Malinska Trail in Malinska (Island of Krk), we will announce the most successful competitors (men & women), as well as the most successful in age categories and reward them with original Kvarner Trails trophies and sponsor's prizes.
